Why We Started Selling Hand Sanitizer in the Refill Pouch

hand sanitizers from Costa Californica

Recently we have been challenged to introduce a new product to our line that we never could have anticipated if it wasn't for the COVID-19 pandemic. Many supermarkets that carry our soap have requested Hand Sanitizer, and have asked whether we were carrying this kind of product. While we have posted in the past about the simplicity of washing hands with soap and water to remove germs, we now have recently been selling our Rinse Free Hand Wash/Sanitizer with 60% Ethyl Alcohol due to the demand. This amazing sanitizer includes organic Aloe Vera and Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), which adds moisture to your hands, off setting the alcohol dryness that could potentially occur when using hand sanitizer products in general.

Due to such a high volume of demand for this kind of product, we have encountered difficulties finding bottles to deliver it in. While we aren't into virtue signaling, we do want to someday reduce our bottle count as much as possible. For this reason, we now offer our 16 oz refill pouch of sanitizer in a Spoutpak™ container, that is 66% less plastic than a bottle. This returns the savings to the environment and customer. This transition to the pouches is the result of supply and demand, and few bottles available for order in the United States. Thankfully we have been able to source our new pouches here in California, minimizing our carbon footprint as well as keeping industry here locally. We are happy to say that this change lines up with our values and hope it saves you money as well.
